This is one of my usual go-to places. They have the dinner combo which comes with salad, miso soup, coffee or tea, main dish and a piece of cake. The environment is cozy and quiet.
Their highlight is their katsu curry, very tasty with decent portion and their cake (all flavours are delicious). Their soup of the seafood udon is flavourful despite the fishy taste of the fish. -

Came here for their desert and chirashi bowl. The food was decent, but I have try better chirashi bowl with lower price.
There is a bit communication problem with waiter, as he don't quite understand the word I was saying, when I was asking him about the food options
I get the chirashi combo, with the choice of fruit cup. The appetizer was seaweed salad, which was a plus, the desert was fresh and well balanced of the fruit portion and the cake portion. My friend got the chicken curry, the portion was huge, but nothing special, I wouldn't recommend.
I tried my friend's matcha cake, was really good!
The location is quite far from my place, glad that I tried, but there are more Japanese out there waiting for me to try them -

Le Cafe Michi is located in a strip mall and looks understated. But it's super cute with very delicious food!
The signature is their Cafe au Lait chirashi Bowl. It's topped with tons of fresh seafood including uni (sea urchin). And there is a surprise layer underneath with eggs and eel! The portion is quite generous. The combo comes with salad, miso soup, coffee/tea and dessert.
The fruit cake is a must-have! It has light and fresh cream. The cake itself is airy and has an almost pastry like layered texture.
Another great option is the 3-layered Cochin Bento with sashimi, eel rice bowl and karaage (fried chicken)! -

First time going here and I'm not in a hurry to go back.
Went in for dinner recently and received a warm welcoming from the staff upon entering. Their seating space is quite cramped and small but clean.
After perusing their menu, I opted for the Chicken Katsu dinner. That also includes a tea or coffee, miso soup, house salad, and dessert. I also ordered a salmon hand roll to start with as well.
The chicken katsu was really underwhelming in flavour. (I suggest going to J-Town for katsu instead). The soup and salad were just average. Nothing horrible or outstanding about it. The salmon hand roll was fresh and tasty. The dessert was really good. We had the Chocolate Sake Cake and English Trifle. I was talking to the dessert chef who makes them fresh daily. She was very pleasant to speak with and informative.
My biggest grievance was with my experience when it came to the bill. They don't have hand rolls listed on the menu, so I checked with the waiter if they could make one for me. He said they could and it would cost $6.95 so I agreed and ordered one. When my bill came, it listed the hand roll as $10.95. When I inquired about the price difference everyone just seemed to say that I was priced right. No acknowledgement that I was initially told the wrong price. The waiter didn't even apologize about it. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier or if he genuinely forgot that he told me a different price. Regardless, that's pretty bad business practice if you ask me.
For that reason alone I wouldn't want to go back but also for the price paid overall (for fairly average/underwhelming food). Minus the dessert, the dessert was pretty darn good. -

The wife was feeling for some Chirashi but the only place that popped up in Yelp that looked somewhat appetizing for Chirashi was this place. Despite its mediocre rating, we decided to give it a try.
The restaurant was located in this small plaza with limited parking. The restaurant itself was very small as well. It gave you a somewhat cozy feeling upon stepping foot inside. So we sat down and my wife ordered the Chirashi set which cames with tea, seaweed salad, Chirashi bowl and dessert. I got the chicken teriyaki set which came with the same items except I got coffee instead of the tea.
My wife really liked the Chirashi bowl. She gave me a couple of nibbles and I liked it as well. Everything from the shrimp to the tuna to the scallop to the salmon to the octopus was very fresh. Everything but the uni. The uni had this "farty" taste which lingered in my mouth which was a bit disappointing but everything else in the bowl was fantastic.
To my surprise, my chicken teriyaki was superb as well. The chicken was very well seasoned, tender, and the sauce was off the hook! It didn't have your typical super sweet teriyaki taste but a bit savory and a bit sweet. The balance was perfect! This teriyaki chicken was probably the best I've had so far in the T Dot.
For dessert, my wife got the green tea cheesecake and I went for the cappuccino cheesecake. Both were really good! I don't really have a sweet tooth but I think I could have eaten the entire cake myself.
We would definitely return to try other items on the menu!
